Maverick Vinales believes KTM has already decided not to retain him for the 2027 MotoGP season after leaving him out of last week's 850cc test at Brno.
The Spaniard's future has been uncertain for several months after KTM paused its original plan to promote him to the factory team, with his injury struggles affecting results throughout the season.
Vinales revealed he spent two weeks waiting for confirmation about the Brno test, only to discover through media reports that Pedro Acosta would ride the bike instead. In his view, that decision made it clear the manufacturer had already chosen a different direction without informing him directly.

"They kept me guessing for two weeks about whether I'd get to test it or not, and in the end, I found out through the press that Pedro Acosta would be testing it. It was as easy as calling me and telling me. With things like this, it's pretty clear to me," said Vinales.
Vinales also stated that he had respected a contractual clause preventing him from negotiating with rival teams. However, he argued KTM should have released him earlier if it already knew he would not be part of its long-term plans, giving him the opportunity to secure another ride for 2027.
The Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider insisted he still wants to remain in the MotoGP World Championship. Nevertheless, he maintained that if he eventually leaves the grid, it will be because of KTM's decision rather than his own choice.
