The prospect of Jorge Martin making an immediate racing comeback this coming weekend at Sepang appears highly unlikely. Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola has openly tempered expectations regarding the Spaniard's swift recovery following his arm fracture sustained during the Sprint race at Phillip Island.
The heavy crash occurred on the eighth lap while the reigning world champion was locked in an intense battle for the lead against Marc Marquez. The incident resulted in a non-displaced fracture of the lower radius in Martin's right forearm, forcing medical evaluations at a Melbourne hospital.
Although initial scans confirmed surgery was not immediately necessary, team management remains extremely cautious. Despite the rider's personal desire to jump straight back onto the motorcycle in Malaysia, the factory leadership insists on a sensible approach to his physical rehabilitation.

“That is going to be very difficult. Really very difficult,” Massimo Rivola stated regarding a potential return at the upcoming Grand Prix. “I hope Jorge can at least be with us in Sepang. After that, we will see. The situation between Aprilia and Jorge has been quite unfortunate so far, but I mainly want us to finish this season well with a fully fit Jorge.”
Rivola also praised the incredible speed and potential victory pace his rider displayed before the crash. Missing out on crucial championship points deals a heavy blow to their title ambitions, shifting the primary focus entirely toward a safe and complete physical recovery.
