Luca Marini will ride for Tech3 KTM starting in 2027. The French team made the announcement official, marking a new chapter in the Italian rider's career after three seasons with HRC Honda.
This move follows Enea Bastianini's decision to join Trackhouse next season. Tech3 thus fills its seat with another Italian rider, this time bringing a different blend of experience and maturity.
New Era Under 2027 MotoGP Regulations
Marini's arrival coincides with major changes in MotoGP. 2027 will be the first season under new technical regulations, as well as a fresh phase in the Tech3-KTM partnership. This combination is seen as the perfect moment for both parties to build a strong foundation.

Tech3 CEO Gunther Steiner warmly welcomed Marini. He believes the 29-year-old has the speed, experience, and determination the team needs to progress. Steiner also stressed Marini's importance in bike development during the new era.
Team Manager Nicolas Goyon echoed Steiner's enthusiasm. Goyon is confident that Marini's solid technical understanding will be a valuable asset, especially in working with engineers to advance the KTM machine.
For Marini, this move is a chance to start fresh after a difficult period at Honda. Though results were lacking, his experience with the Japanese factory gives him a unique perspective to bring into a developing environment.
With an increasingly exciting rider lineup, the 2027 MotoGP paddock is set to be even more thrilling. Tech3 KTM now has big ambitions, and Marini is a key part of their long-term plan.
