MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia enters the 2026 Brazil MotoGP at Goiania facing a high degree of uncertainty, as the championship tackles a new circuit with no recent MotoGP reference data.
The Italian arrives with strong momentum, targeting a fourth consecutive grand prix victory following wins at the end of 2025 and the 2026 season opener in Thailand. However, despite the positive trajectory of the RS-GP, Bezzecchi has stressed that the lack of experience at Goiania introduces variables that could disrupt performance consistency.
Simulation data suggests the Goiania circuit will rank among the fastest on the calendar, featuring high average speeds and flowing sections. On paper, this profile suits Aprilia, which has historically performed well at fast venues such as Phillip Island and Silverstone. Nevertheless, factors such as track grip evolution, tyre degradation, and potential weather changes remain difficult to predict.

“It’s very tough to say before even riding a new track, but it’s true that the bike is improving. The factory in Noale is working very hard, so we will see,” said Marco Bezzecchi.
“I have no idea what to expect. We will try to learn the track as quickly as we can.”
Bezzecchi’s preparation has so far been limited to track walks, providing only a visual understanding of the circuit layout. He highlighted the mid-to-final sector as a potentially decisive area for race battles, given its combination of speed and technical demand.
“The track looks very nice, very fast and interesting. I’m very happy to be here, and I can’t wait to ride the MotoGP bike,” he added.
In the championship context, Bezzecchi starts the Brazilian round seven points behind Pedro Acosta of KTM, increasing the pressure to maintain his winning momentum. The competitive balance at a new venue could prove decisive in shaping the early title fight.
From a strategic standpoint, extended Friday practice sessions will play a crucial role in accelerating adaptation. Teams will need to rapidly establish baseline setups, including tyre selection, electronic mapping, and chassis balance, in the absence of historical performance data.
With a combination of strong recent form and significant unknowns, the Brazil MotoGP represents a critical test for Bezzecchi’s pursuit of consecutive victories. The outcome at Goiania will provide a clearer indication of whether Aprilia can sustain its competitive momentum as the championship moves into its next phase.
