A flawless masterclass was delivered by Marco Bezzecchi during the gruelling main race under the floodlights of Lusail. Starting from the front row, the Italian rider launched into an immediate lead and controlled the twenty-two-lap contest from lights to flag. Piloting his Aprilia RS-GP26 with exceptional precision, he managed to pull clear by three and a half seconds, brilliantly bouncing back from his disappointing crash during Saturday evening's sprint race.
Meanwhile, intense drama unfolded behind the runaway leader as Marc Marquez was forced to dig deep into his physical reserves to secure crucial championship points. Starting from second on the grid, the eight-time world champion dropped back following a fast start by Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez and a subsequent overtake by KTM's aggressive youngster Pedro Acosta during the frantic opening laps of the grand prix.
The championship leader patiently settled into a rhythm before launching a late-race charge in the closing stages. With just three laps remaining, he hunted down Fernandez and executed a decisive maneuver on the front straight to claim the runner-up spot. This hard-fought result solidified his position at the summit of the standings, though it left him physically drained after pushing absolute limits to secure every available point.

"Step by step, the most important thing is that this weekend we are the rider who scored more points over the weekend," said the Ducati star after stepping off his machine. "This is the most important thing because it is this kind of weekend you can give extra boost to your opponents if they start to catch you a bit in the championship. I was completely exhausted in the end, empty, but if you want to fight for the championship you need to give everything and I did it because I had the extra risk overtaking Fernandez."
For Bezzecchi, the victory served as sweet redemption following his heavy fall in the sprint race. The Italian revealed that his mental reset happened almost instantly while he was still sliding across the asphalt on Saturday night. "Yesterday when I was still sliding on the ground I was already thinking tomorrow is my day," he noted. The paddock now prepares for the penultimate round of the season as teams pack their equipment for the upcoming trip to Portimao.
With the championship battle mathematically alive heading into the final stages, the action shifts to the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve for the Portuguese Grand Prix. The high-stakes drama in the premier class continues to captivate fans worldwide as the championship climax draws nearer.
