An exhilarating qualifying session unfolded at the Lusail International Circuit as Marco Bezzecchi stunningly shattered the Ducati dominance. Amidst sweltering desert temperatures reaching 34 degrees Celsius, the Italian rider delivered a masterclass performance to secure the premier grid position for the upcoming races.
The intense battle was already evident during Friday's practice sessions, where Fabio Di Giannantonio initially set a blistering pace for the VR46 squad. However, Q2 served as the ultimate hunting ground for Bezzecchi, who clocked an incredible 1:50.028 lap time, coming agonizingly close to breaking the 1:49 barrier on the Qatari asphalt.
"We have worked tirelessly to understand the machine's behavior in these tricky conditions, and this pole position is a reward for the team's relentless effort," Bezzecchi stated after securing the top spot. This stellar performance places him right at the front row alongside fierce competitors for the weekend battles.

Meanwhile, drama unfolded in other garages as Jorge Martin had to settle for an eleventh-place start. The Spanish contender could not hide his frustration after feeling blocked by another rider during a crucial flying lap, complicating his championship chase against Marc Marquez.
The front row for both the sprint and Grand Prix races will feature Bezzecchi, flanked by Marquez and Di Giannantonio. Expect an electrifying fight as the riders launch off the line when the lights go out.
