Marc Marquez showcased his trademark racing instinct to dominate the Sprint race at Mobility Resort Motegi. Taking the lead right from the start, the Spanish rider controlled the pace flawlessly to secure his 22nd Sprint victory while closing the gap in the championship standings.
The triumph became even sweeter after Jorge Martin received a one-position penalty for exceeding track limits on the final lap. This late twist handed extra points to Marquez, tightening the title fight as the gap between the championship rivals narrows down to just seven points.
Reflecting on his performance, Marquez credited a subtle pre-race setup adjustment by his Ducati crew for unlocking his superior race feeling. While keeping the exact technical details under wraps, he emphasized that the improved machine feedback mattered more to him than the victory itself.

Looking ahead to Sunday's grand prix, Marquez anticipates a different tactical battle as rivals adapt and tire management takes center stage during the full-distance race at Motegi.
