MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Marc Marquez has drawn level with Jorge Martin at the top of the all-time MotoGP Sprint winners’ list following his victory at Jerez 2026.
The win marked Marquez’s 17th sprint triumph, achieved in a complex flag-to-flag race, while Martin was unable to extend his tally after retiring due to a technical issue. The result reinforces the competitive balance between the two riders in the sprint era.
Since the introduction of sprint races in 2023, only ten riders have claimed victory in the half-distance format. The category has been dominated by three key figures: Marquez, Martin, and Francesco Bagnaia.

Bagnaia secured the 2023 world title, Martin followed in 2024, and Marquez in 2025, underlining their sustained performance across both sprint and grand prix formats. Meanwhile, Pedro Acosta became the most recent new sprint winner at the 2026 season opener in Buriram.
Although sprint races do not count as official Grand Prix wins, they award significant championship points, with 12 points for victory down to 1 point for ninth place, contributing to overall standings.
The updated all-time MotoGP Sprint winners’ list after Jerez 2026 is as follows:
