A remarkable collection of 61 motorcycles, including former premier-class Grand Prix machines associated with Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, and Andrea Dovizioso, is heading to a high-profile public auction in Mexico. According to FBI estimates, the entire trove of elite racing machinery carries a staggering combined estimated value of 35.8 million euros following major law enforcement raids.
The seized inventory features exclusive hardware built by prominent manufacturers such as Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, MV Agusta, Suzuki, and Yamaha. Motorsport experts note that between ten and fifteen units within the collection are genuine Grand Prix prototypes or WorldSBK race bikes. While authorities have confirmed that several of these machines saw active duty in professional motorcycle racing, the exact provenance linking every individual bike to a specific rider remains under thorough verification.
The astounding collection was uncovered during late-year law enforcement operations connected to Ryan Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder who spent years atop the FBI's most-wanted fugitive list. Wedding was apprehended in Mexico and transferred to United States custody to face severe charges relating to large-scale drug trafficking, money laundering, and alleged involvement in multiple murders tied to the Sinaloa cartel.

The Mexican government agency INDEP is scheduled to oversee the upcoming auction of the motorcycles alongside hundreds of other seized luxury assets, including high-end automobiles, boats, and aircraft. Starting bids for the two-wheeled racing heritage are slated to range from approximately 1,000 to 122,000 euros depending on the specific model, with prospective bidders required to complete registration procedures ahead of the event.
Despite generating immense international interest among historic racing collectors due to the extreme rarity of acquiring authentic factory prototypes on the open market, the sale faces heavy legal contention. Legal representation for the defense has contested the authority of Mexican authorities to liquidate the property, cautioning potential investors about prospective litigation regarding legal ownership titles.
