Leclerc's Monza Nightmare: Crash at Parabolica Ends Hopes

Charles Leclerc endured a nightmare weekend at the Italian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver lost control of his car at the Parabolica corner on lap two, crashing hard into the barriers and retiring from the race.

The incident occurred while Leclerc was battling closely with Oscar Piastri. His car appeared to snap sideways, ran onto the green runoff area, and then slammed into the concrete wall with significant force.

Hamilton's Fury and Lost Positions

Even before the crash, Leclerc's day was unraveling. At the start, he pushed his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, off the track, prompting a furious radio outburst from the seven-time champion.

Leclerc then lost position after position, allowing Pierre Gasly and Max Verstappen to pass him. This dramatic loss of pace has led to speculation about a possible energy management issue on his car.

Emotional and Financial Toll

Although Leclerc emerged from the car unscathed, he was visibly shaken. He sat for several minutes in the marshal's post before being taken to the medical center for checks. This incident is a major blow for Ferrari at their home race, where they had hoped to challenge for victory.

The crash is reminiscent of a similar accident Leclerc had at the same circuit in 2020. The most important thing is that the 26-year-old is physically okay, but emotionally and mentally, this is a heavy hit.
