The final practice session of the Mexico City GP at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez delivered an astonishingly tight battle at the sharp end of the grid. As cars hit the track in the high-altitude conditions, drivers immediately pushed their machinery to the limit to fine-tune setups ahead of the crucial qualifying sessions.
Lando Norris ultimately claimed the top spot after clocking an impressive lap time of one minute 17.600s behind the wheel of his McLaren charger. The British driver had to extract every ounce of performance to secure the benchmark time from a rapidly charging pack of rivals.
The drama for the fastest lap nearly went the way of Kimi Antonelli, who put on a stellar performance for Mercedes. The youngster looked poised to lead the timesheet before being pipped by a mere thousandth of a second by Norris.

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc—who had set the pace during both sessions on Friday—had to settle for third-best in his Scuderia Ferrari, finishing 0.117s adrift. His teammate, Lewis Hamilton, also worked through vital setup iterations to dial in his race pace.
Further down the order, Max Verstappen rounded out the top five for Red Bull Racing as teams head back to the garage to review telemetry data. Read our in-depth analysis, points updates, and full weekend schedule right here.
