Jorge Martin Eager to Ride Aprilia at MotorLand: Aiming to Extend Title Lead

Jorge Martin arrives at MotorLand Aragon as the MotoGP championship leader, and the Aprilia rider can't wait to experience the RS-GP on one of his favorite circuits. After a near-perfect weekend at Silverstone, Martin now shifts focus to defending his lead in front of the Spanish fans.

For Jorge Martin, the British round proved that Aprilia has found its competitive rhythm. The Sprint Race win and a second place in the main race, plus the double podium secured by his teammate, left the Noale factory smiling. But a different challenge awaits at Aragon—a track known as Marc Marquez's territory and one that suits Ducati well.

Despite that, Martin is undeterred. He feels confident after seeing his team's performance in England. “We head to one of our home races in very good shape. I'm satisfied with the teamwork, and after Silverstone, I hope to continue the positive trend. I really want to race in front of the Spanish fans and return to Aragon after missing it last year. It will be great to ride my Aprilia at MotorLand for the first time. I like this track, and we'll focus on doing the best job possible from Friday to find a good feeling for the weekend,” said Martin.

Meanwhile, Marco Bezzecchi arrives with high spirits despite his body not being fully recovered. The injuries he suffered in recent months are a concern, especially after he admitted to a minor setback following the Silverstone race. “I can't wait to get to Aragon. It will definitely be a demanding weekend because after Silverstone I had a small issue caused by the weekend's effort. We expected it, so we're trying to make the most of the time to organize everything. In any case, I'm really happy to go to Aragon, a track I love, and I'm eager to get on the bike,” Bezzecchi said.

With a 31-point gap to Martin in the standings, Bezzecchi certainly aims to close the gap. However, his physical condition will be a key factor. If he can perform at his best, he could challenge his teammate and put pressure on the Ducati riders expected to be strong at MotorLand.

Aprilia's emergence as a leading force this season is an intriguing storyline. After years of Ducati dominance, there's a new color at the top. If Martin can be competitive at Aragon, the threat to Borgo Panigale becomes even more real. With home support, Martin has a great chance to extend his lead at the top of the standings.
