MotoGP medical team has officially given Jorge Martin the final clearance to participate in the remainder of the Malaysian Grand Prix following Friday's opening practice session.
Having been initially declared fit by championship doctor Angel Charte on Thursday, the Aprilia rider was required to undergo a secondary evaluation immediately after the first track action of the weekend before receiving a definitive green light to continue.
As the clock ran down on FP1, Dr. Charte was already present inside the Aprilia garage to assess the right wrist that the Spaniard fractured during his heavy crash in the Phillip Island sprint race last Saturday afternoon.

Satisfied with his physical condition and pain threshold, the medical official cleared Martin to compete at Sepang and keep his championship ambitions alive against his title rivals. In a concise statement issued shortly after midday, the team confirmed that their key rider was officially fit to race.
Despite passing the medical checks, Martin faces a steep uphill battle to bridge the gap to the front-runners after ending FP1 in 20th position, 1.8 seconds off the pace set by title rival Marc Marquez. Meanwhile, Marco Bezzecchi finished the session strongly in second place as the championship enters its most crucial phase with Marquez holding a narrow 10-point advantage at the top of the standings.
