Jon Armstrong is prioritizing securing his World Rally Championship program for the 2027 season before making any definitive decisions regarding his search for a new co-driver.
The 31-year-old driver, backed by the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy, successfully completed his debut campaign at the pinnacle of the sport this year competing for M-Sport aboard a Ford Puma Rally1.
Throughout the season alongside co-driver Shane Byrne, Armstrong claimed their maiden WRC stage win in Greece and secured a career-best seventh-place finish during the demanding finale in Sardinia.

Reflecting on his options, Armstrong admitted that remaining with his current squad is his primary objective, though nothing has been finalized on paper yet.
"I definitely would like to stay with M-Sport because it’s where I’ve been my whole career, and I know the car very well," Armstrong told DirtFish, expressing his desire to contribute to the development of the upcoming WRC27 regulations.
