Nakagami Returns to the Grid
In Mir's absence, Honda has confirmed that Takaaki Nakagami will ride the Honda HRC Castrol RC213V in Austria. The Japanese rider, currently a test rider for HRC, recently participated in a test at Mugello. His presence in Austria will also allow Honda to continue development work on the 1000cc RC213V.
Nakagami was already scheduled to take part in the official post-race test on Monday, so his substitution for Mir allows Honda to maximize his time on track. He will have the opportunity to accumulate mileage on the factory MotoGP bike throughout the weekend before continuing testing on Monday.
