Heavy rain turned the Supercars warm-up session at The Bend into a survival test. James Golding was fastest, but many drivers failed to tame the wet track and found themselves in the gravel.
The session started dry, but a sudden downpour caught drivers off guard. Several incidents occurred, especially at Turn 1. James Courtney was one of the first to go off, followed by Tim Slade who also found the gravel. Tony D'Alberto spun spectacularly, while Broc Feeney had two off-track moments, the one at Turn 11 being the most dramatic.
Teams switched to wet tyres, but chaos continued. Andre Heimgartner and Jayden Ojeda also fell victim, highlighting just how slippery the circuit had become. Turn 1 was a hotspot, with Jackson Walls, Bayley Hall, and Ryan Wood all going off in the final five minutes.

Despite the challenging conditions, James Golding set the fastest time of 1:18.1813 in his Blanchard Racing Team Ford Mustang GT. His teammate Aaron Cameron was second, followed by Ryan Wood of Walkinshaw TWG Racing in third. Matthew Payne and Zach Bates completed the top five.
The warm-up results serve as a warning ahead of the main race. With unpredictable weather, strategy and adaptation will be key. This session also showed that The Bend can be treacherous when rain hits.
