Hamilton Signs Multi-Year Production Deal with Skydance Sports

Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari driver and seven-time Formula 1 champion, has signed a multi-year first-look production deal with Skydance Sports through his company, Dawn Apollo Studios. The agreement with Paramount Skydance's sports entertainment division allows Dawn Apollo to develop and produce scripted, unscripted, and animated content, with Hamilton serving as executive producer on all projects.

This move marks a significant expansion of Hamilton's career beyond the racetrack, reinforcing his position as a figure who not only focuses on speed but also aspires to shape cultural narratives through media. The partnership with Skydance Sports provides Hamilton access to substantial resources to realize his creative vision. "I’ve always believed stories can help people see the world differently and spark important conversations," Hamilton said in a statement. "That’s what excites me about Dawn Apollo Studios. It gives us the chance to back projects that feel honest, bold and meaningful."

Dawn Apollo Studios was founded by Hamilton in 2022 and was heavily involved in the production of the blockbuster "F1: The Movie" starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. The film grossed over $634 million worldwide, with Hamilton serving as executive producer and consultant. This success laid a strong foundation for Dawn Apollo to go further in the entertainment industry. "Skydance Sports understands how powerful sport, culture and entertainment can be in moving audiences, and I’m excited to team up with Jesse and the team to bring those stories to life," he added.

In an interview at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, Hamilton hinted at his upcoming projects. "I've got three concepts that I'm writing. I'm going to write them with a writer because I've never written a movie before. Two of them will be animations and one is already in the first part of the script phase," he explained. He also mentioned documentaries and possibly a TV series, but his main focus remains on films. "I love the development of movies — that's what I love the most," Hamilton stated.

This deal not only impacts Hamilton's entertainment career but also strengthens the image of Ferrari as a brand that transcends racing. With his global reputation and extensive network, Hamilton can attract creative talent and expand audience reach. Skydance Sports is known for its strong sports portfolio, so this collaboration has the potential to produce high-quality content that combines sportsmanship and deep storytelling.

However, challenges remain. Hamilton must balance his racing commitments with Ferrari and his role as executive producer. Nevertheless, his track record in managing Dawn Apollo and his involvement in "F1: The Movie" demonstrate strong managerial capabilities. The entertainment and motorsport industries will be watching to see if this move becomes a new breakthrough in Hamilton's multidimensional career.

With this agreement, Hamilton further cements his position as a cross-industry icon. Fans can look forward to new works from Dawn Apollo Studios in the coming years, which are expected to not only entertain but also inspire. Reported by Motorsport.com.
