On lap 7, the Briton managed to limp into the pits, marking the end of his race. Earlier, on lap 1, there was a scuffle between Hamilton and Verstappen, with the two nearly making contact as Verstappen was forced off track. Consequently, Verstappen overtook Hamilton and Kimi Antonelli, but was ordered by his team to give back the positions to Hamilton.
This brake failure clearly damages Hamilton's title chances. With Ferrari's inconsistent performance, such incidents could be a psychological blow for the team and driver. Ferrari must quickly find a technical solution to address the brake issues.
Meanwhile, Verstappen, who finished at the front, extends his championship lead. Hamilton now faces an uphill battle to close the gap. The next race will be a tough test for the team and driver to bounce back.
