Lewis Hamilton has moved to calm any concerns from Ferrari fans following his first-lap clash with teammate Charles Leclerc at the F1 Italian Grand Prix. The seven-time champion insists there is no need to worry about rising tensions within the team.

The incident occurred at Monza's Rettifilo chicane, where the two Ferraris made slight contact, forcing Hamilton wide and dropping him to 10th. Leclerc, meanwhile, held onto third but crashed out at Parabolica on the very next lap, ending his home race in the barriers.

Speaking after the race, Hamilton was quick to defend his racing style. "I don't race dirty. I've always raced clean and fairly and always left space, so I don't think they should be worried about me," he said. He added that any questions about team decisions should be directed to team principal Fred Vasseur.

The collision proved costly for Ferrari, who were already struggling for pace against the Mercedes-powered cars. The race was dominated by Mercedes engines, with Kimi Antonelli taking victory ahead of teammate George Russell, while Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri completed the top five. Max Verstappen was the only non-Mercedes-powered driver in the top five.

Hamilton also expressed frustration over the team's decision not to pit under the Virtual Safety Car, despite his warnings about tire wear. "The incident set us back, but I reset and felt good. However, on the straights they were pulling away—it was mind-blowing how quick the Mercedes power was," he explained.

With Hamilton finishing sixth and Leclerc out, Ferrari left Monza with mixed feelings. The focus now shifts to the next race, where the Scuderia will look to bounce back and close the gap to their rivals.
