Thomas Fleming delivered a stunning performance in the #10 Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo to secure pole position for the 6 Hours of Barcelona. The British driver clinched the top spot in the LMGT3 class during a tense Hyperpole session at the Spanish circuit, beating his closest rivals with the only sub-1:41 lap of the shootout.
Fleming's achievement was particularly remarkable given that he missed the opening three practice sessions of the weekend while balancing his World Endurance Championship duties with the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup finale. He quickly adapted to the machinery prepared meticulously by teammates Antares Au and Marvin Kirchhoefer before dropping the decisive lap time of 1:40.933.
“It’s a credit to the team constantly performing and giving us a really good package,” Fleming said regarding his pole-winning effort. He praised the engineers and his fellow drivers for setting up the car in a way that made his transition phase into the cockpit as smooth and straightforward as possible.

Manthey's Riccardo Pera came closest to denying the McLaren the top spot, clocking a 1:41.055 in the #92 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo to line up second on the grid. Meanwhile, Simon Mann placed the #21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari in third position, finishing 0.465 seconds off the ultimate pace despite having topped the earlier practice running.
Further down the grid, Jonny Edgar put in a stellar shift to secure fourth place in the #33 TF Sport Corvette. This marked the first time this specific car reached Hyperpole this season, providing the championship-leading crew with a fantastic platform to extend their advantage in the team and driver standings.
