British teenage sensation Freddie Slater is set to make his Formula 1 practice debut with Audi at the upcoming Mexico City Grand Prix next weekend.
Mexico will serve as the first of two FP1 outings for the 18-year-old driver, who is also scheduled to make an appearance during the opening practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil next month.
The young charger was the very first driver to be signed into Audi's driver development programme at the beginning of this year. His rookie season in the Formula 3 championship concluded with an impressive runner-up finish in the standings.

Having previously secured championship titles in Italian F4 and Formula Regional Europe, the British talent was the highest-placed rookie as he narrowly missed out on the overall title to Ugo Ugochukwu.
Looking ahead to his future career steps, he is confirmed to make the transition into Formula 2 in 2027 alongside the Invicta squad.
Reflecting on the milestone, the young driver shared his excitement about getting behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car during a grand prix weekend, noting it has been a lifelong dream since childhood. He expressed gratitude for the trust and support shown by the manufacturer's development setup.
Meanwhile, Audi racing director Allan McNish praised the significant progress shown by their protege both on and off the track in recent years, emphasizing that these upcoming sessions in Mexico and Brazil will provide vital weekend experience ahead of his F2 promotion.
