Former influential figure within the Red Bull hierarchy, Helmut Marko, has made a completely unexpected career move following his departure from the premier motorsport championship. The Austrian has thrown his weight behind a Vienna-based startup called Lebensstimmen, internationally known as Words That Remain, which is currently developing advanced technology designed to allow individuals to prepare personal farewell messages to be delivered long after their passing.
This unique project was officially unveiled during a press conference held in Vienna, where the 1971 Le Mans winner appeared alongside the company's founders and Austrian cathedral pastor Toni Faber. Operating as an AI-based avatar platform, the specialized service empowers users to craft messages throughout their lifetime, granting them full autonomy to choose precisely who receives them and under what exact circumstances the messages will be distributed to mourners.
Perhaps the most striking feature of the platform is the possibility it offers for someone to address mourners directly at their own funeral service, despite having already passed away. Explaining his rationale behind backing the venture, Marko drew a direct parallel between his latest financial investment and the relentless pursuit of technological advancement historically seen within the high-octane environment of international motorsport.

This project is using very new technology, mainly AI. So it offers a very unique opportunity for the last will, and also the possibility that the one who died speaks personally at his funeral, Marko stated, as reported by Speedcafe. It is surrounded by experts and very well educated and trained on the technical and on the law side. And the market I see is worldwide, he added.
The veteran Austrian emphasized that motorsport was never left entirely to chance, noting how the discipline was continually elevated through the courage to consistently embrace new technologies for human benefit. In his view, that exact proactive mindset is mirrored within the operational philosophy of Lebensstimmen. To safeguard user trust, the firm has enlisted reputable legal and technology partners to strictly handle privacy, data security, and the protocols surrounding posthumous message delivery.
Another notable element of the venture is the introduction of the Fabertar, an artificial intelligence eulogist developed in close collaboration with Pastor Toni Faber of St Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. This specific tool is intended to provide funeral speeches when families specifically request them or when a traditional speaker is unavailable, rather than aiming to replace established religious practices. Company representatives confirmed that all AI-assisted messages will be derived from real human input, thoroughly reviewed by human supervisors, and transparently marked as artificial intelligence.
This high-profile investment represents an entirely new chapter for Marko, who stepped down from his core duties at the Milton Keynes-based outfit at the conclusion of 2025 after more than twenty years at the helm. During his tenure overseeing the organization's famed junior driver academy, he successfully shaped the careers of multiple racing greats, including Sebastian Vettel and reigning world champion Max Verstappen. Although maintaining a relatively quiet public profile recently, Marko's latest business venture ensures he remains a fascinating talking point across global headlines.
