Formula 1 supporters have rushed to defend Isack Hadjar after the Red Bull Racing driver was summoned to the stewards for alleged misconduct during the race weekend. The summons follows widely circulated social media footage showing the young driver pushing away a fan who attempted to secure a selfie without respecting personal boundaries.
The incident occurred between Friday's practice sessions, a day that already presented technical hurdles for the driver. FP1 proved difficult due to power unit complications that heavily restricted his track time, leaving him 11th. However, he rebounded strongly to finish sixth fastest by the conclusion of FP2.
The viral video captured a fan aggressively approaching the driver in the paddock and attempting to put an arm around him. The driver responded by pushing him back at arm's length, followed by a firmer shove as the persistent individual continued to close in. The footage ignited an intense debate across online platforms regarding athlete privacy.

Many supporters stood firmly behind the driver, emphasizing that personal space within the working environment of a paddock must be respected. One user wrote on social media, “So, incredibly, when you’re polite to him and don’t infringe on his space and touch him, he’s actually really cool to fans… it’s a privilege to meet a driver but you’re never entitled to it.”
Other fans questioned the fairness of the stewards' summons, pointing out the inappropriate behavior from the supporter. “Hadjar should not be in trouble, this older man should not be touching him. Paddocks are workplaces, not show grounds. Drivers are people, not property,” another user posted, as the racing community awaits further official updates regarding the case.
