Lando Norris delivered a stunning performance at Zandvoort, securing pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix and sending a clear message to his rivals. The McLaren driver was in a league of his own during qualifying, edging out both Mercedes cars in a session full of tension.
The fight for the front row was intense from the start. In Q1, Lewis Hamilton had a moment at Turn 1, locking up and running wide into the gravel, but he managed to continue without major issues.
As the session progressed, Charles Leclerc briefly held the top spot before being displaced by Oscar Piastri and then Norris. When it mattered most, Norris found the extra tenth to seal his third pole of the season.

This result underlines McLaren's strong form on technical circuits like Zandvoort. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen could only manage a disappointing position in front of his home crowd, adding to the drama ahead of Sunday's race.
With the top spot secured, Norris has a golden opportunity to close the gap in the drivers' championship. The main race promises to be a thrilling battle, with Mercedes and Red Bull expected to fight back hard.
