The longest day of the rally concluded with a dramatic showdown on the Solorche stage, setting up an intense battle for the final leg of the weekend.
Elfyn Evans was determined to defend his fourth place, pushing hard from the start after adjusting his strategy for the grueling afternoon loop.
However, Hyundai charger Adrien Fourmaux responded brilliantly to earlier setbacks, storming to the stage win and snatching fourth position back from the Welshman.

At the sharp end of the field, rally leader Oliver Solberg struck back on the final test to fend off charging world champion Sebastien Ogier, extending his overall lead to 33.6 seconds heading into Sunday.
