The World Rally Championship (WRC) has officially announced its calendar for the 2027 season, featuring the highly anticipated returns of both the United States and the United Kingdom to the schedule. Approved by the World Motorsport Council, the expansive 15-round calendar will deliver a diverse mix of traditional venues, fresh challenges, and historic locations.
Kicking off with the legendary Monte Carlo Rally in January, the season will transition into a demanding European tour covering Sweden, Croatia, and Spain, neatly sandwiched by a gravel showdown in Kenya during March. Meanwhile, Rally d Italia will introduce a fresh challenge for drivers this time around, culminating with a spectacular finish in the capital city of Rome.
The standout highlight of the 2027 schedule is undeniably the comeback of the UK and the US. Scotland will host Britain's return to the calendar for the first time since 2019, following America's first appearance on the schedule since 1988, perfectly timed to coincide with Ford's much-anticipated return to the sport.

The grueling 15-event campaign will ultimately reach its dramatic climax in Saudi Arabia on November 25-28. WRC Promoter CEO Eric Boullier emphasized the significance of this milestone layout. 2027 represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the World Rally Championship, and this calendar reflects our ambition to build a stronger, more accessible and truly global championship, stated Boullier.
Returning to the United States and United Kingdom, alongside bringing the WRC to an iconic destination such as Rome, creates tremendous opportunities for our manufacturers, commercial partners and fans. Combined with the introduction of new technical regulations, we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the WRC, attract new investment and bring the excitement of rallying to more people around the world, he added.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem also highlighted the momentum driving the sport forward. The 2027 FIA World Rally Championship calendar reflects the strong momentum behind the WRC, with new events in the United United Kingdom and Italy strengthening the Championship in countries with a proud rallying heritage, while the United States gives us an exciting opportunity to grow in a country where interest in rallying continues to rise, Ben Sulayem concluded.
