Lando Norris avoided a post-race penalty following a dramatic collision with his McLaren Formula 1 teammate Oscar Piastri during the inaugural sprint race at the Singapore Grand Prix.
The intense moment unfolded on the final lap of Saturday's action-packed sprint event at Turn 5, where a late passing attempt resulted in heavy contact between the two garage companions.
While Oscar Piastri was sent spinning into the barrier, Lando Norris salvaged an eighth-place finish, securing a solitary championship point despite dropping down the running order.

Following a formal investigation by race control, the stewards determined that no further action would be taken because both drivers contributed to the on-track collision.
The official stewards' document noted that the driver of Car 1 attempted an inside maneuver at the apex of Turn 5, while the driver of Car 81 stated he did not expect the lunge and tried to leave room after turning in.
Lando Norris argued that his front axle was positioned ahead of his teammate's mirror prior to the apex, expecting adequate racing room before the gap unexpectedly tightened.
Ultimately, the governing body ruled that neither competitor was wholly or predominantly to blame, allowing the reigning world champion to keep his eighth-place result from the sprint.
