VR46 Reveals Special Garuda Livery for MotoGP Mandalika

The race weekend at the Mandalika Circuit always brings a unique atmosphere, and this year the VR46 Racing Team is once again capturing the attention of local racing enthusiasts. The Tavullia-based squad has officially taken to the track featuring a special livery dedicated entirely to Indonesia. This move serves as a profound tribute to the warm reception and immense support consistently shown by local fans during one of the most crucial rounds on the global racing calendar.

According to FormulaPassion, the unveiling ceremony for this special color scheme took place directly at the Pertamina Lubricants Production Unit located in Jakarta. Choosing this venue emphasized the remarkably close partnership between the racing outfit founded by Valentino Rossi and Indonesia's national energy corporation, which has proudly served as their primary title sponsor over the past few seasons in the world championship.

The visual theme applied to the Ducati Desmosedici GP machines heavily incorporates deep philosophical meanings rooted in local culture. The Garuda symbol, originating from Hindu and Buddhist mythology, was chosen as the primary artistic touch. Historically recognized as the vahana or vehicle of Lord Vishnu, it was later adapted deeply into local culture to become the official emblem of the Republic of Indonesia as Garuda Pancasila, carrying the motto of unity in diversity.

The strong character of the legendary mythical creature represents core values of fighting spirit and absolute courage. These traits were deemed a perfect match for the competitive mentality consistently brought by the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team when facing fierce battles on the asphalt. Through the creative genius of renowned designer Aldo Drudi from Drudi Performance, the visual concept of the Garuda is brilliantly translated with spread wings gracing both sides of the motorcycle and its head positioned precisely on top of the fuel tank.

The dominant color composition blends white and red representing the Indonesian national flag, harmoniously combined with golden flame accents. Naturally, the iconic neon yellow hue that has long defined the timeless identity of VR46 remains proudly featured on the windscreen, creating a modern aesthetic blend tightly connected to local heritage.
