Max Verstappen continued his remarkable Formula 1 resurgence by securing his very first victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit during the Singapore Grand Prix. Starting from pole position after dominating both the qualifying session and the sprint race, the Dutch driver delivered another masterclass performance to claim his 73rd career win over a grueling 62-lap distance.
These back-to-back victories have propelled Verstappen up to fourth place in the drivers' world championship standings. The Red Bull charger now sits just eight points adrift of Lewis Hamilton, who endured a difficult race in Singapore that saw him slip from third down to sixth place in the final race classification.
At the very front of the field, another stellar podium finish allowed Andrea Kimi Antonelli to extend his championship advantage. The 20-year-old Italian now holds a commanding 102-point lead over his Mercedes teammate George Russell, who had to settle for a disappointing ninth-place finish at the chequered flag.

This decisive outcome means that Antonelli now has a mathematical opportunity to wrap up his maiden F1 world championship as early as the upcoming United States Grand Prix. Meanwhile, in the constructors' standings, Mercedes remains firmly on course for the title despite Ferrari's ongoing efforts to chip away at their substantial deficit.
The battle for third place in the constructors' championship has also tightened significantly, with Red Bull sitting only seven points behind reigning world champions McLaren following a high-stakes weekend under the floodlights in Southeast Asia.
