The atmosphere in the MotoGP paddock is buzzing as teams prepare for another thrilling weekend of action. The Trackhouse squad has officially revealed a striking Ford GT40-inspired Gulf livery ahead of this weekend's Indonesian Grand Prix at Mandalika. This eye-catching design marks Gulf's 125th anniversary and will be proudly raced by Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez in Indonesia, before making another appearance at Sepang in Malaysia.
This special appearance marks Trackhouse's first return to the iconic Gulf colors since Mugello, with the latest iteration drawing heavily from one of the most recognizable liveries in motorsport history. The Gulf-liveried Ford GT40s that conquered the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours in 1968 and 1969 served as the primary inspiration for the project, extending down to the classic-style racing numbers emblazoned on the machines.
Trackhouse owner Justin Marks shared his excitement regarding the nostalgic livery update on their Aprilia machines. Every time he sees the Gulf colors on the Aprilia RS-GP, he feels a genuine surge of excitement. Having grown up hearing stories about the epic duels at Le Mans during the 1960s and 1970s when GT40s cemented Gulf's status as a motorsport icon, these particular designs hold a deeply evocative meaning for him personally.

Mike Jones, CEO of Gulf Oil International UK Limited, echoed those sentiments, stating that seeing Gulf's 125th anniversary come to life through their partnership with the Trackhouse MotoGP team is an incredible experience. As a brand deeply proud of its roots, it felt entirely natural for their rich motorsport heritage to inspire this milestone livery, blending past triumphs with future ambitions on the global stage in Indonesia and Malaysia.
On track, both Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez arrive holding strong fifth and seventh positions respectively in the world championship standings. They carry high hopes into the Mandalika weekend, especially given Aprilia's strong baseline performance at the venue last season, which notably featured a breakthrough maiden Sprint podium for Raul Fernandez.
