The previous World Rally Championship season left a heavy impression on Thierry Neuville. Despite securing a brilliant victory at Rally Portugal and finishing second in Greece, the campaign overall proved to be exceptionally difficult and at times rather unfair for the seasoned rally driver.
In an interview with Autohebdo, the Belgian driver admitted he did not even want to sum up the struggles he faced throughout the year. He acknowledged that while the season was tough, they accepted the outcome and were now ready to move on and put those difficult moments behind them.
Above all, this period marks the conclusion of 13 wonderful full-time years competing with Hyundai in the WRC. It also signifies the end of 15 full consecutive seasons without missing a single round, boasting an impressive record of 23 victories, 76 podium finishes, and memorable battles including the 2024 world championship fight.

Standing at a crossroads in his career, Thierry Neuville has not ruled out scaling back his competitive programme for next year. However, he firmly stressed that he is not yet ready to hang up his helmet and is simply looking at the right time to contest a few fewer rallies.
Looking ahead, he also shared valuable insights regarding Hyundai and the future development of the sport, expressing hope that the Korean manufacturer will maintain some form of presence in the championship following years of massive investment.
