The Formula 1 2026 season has received much-needed calendar stability after CEO Stefano Domenicali delivered strong assurances that the upcoming Middle Eastern finales remain firmly on track. Amid a turbulent year that saw the Bahrain Grand Prix uniquely relocated to Sepang, championship bosses have greenlit the trip to Lusail and Yas Marina.
Paddock uncertainty had lingered for months following regional security concerns that disrupted early-season freight, airspace, and travel routes. Despite contingency plans being quietly developed around European alternatives like Imola, executive reassurances suggest those emergency measures will ultimately remain unused.
With final preparations locked in for late November and December, the sport looks set to successfully navigate its demanding 23-round calendar without further logistical upheaval, bringing a dramatic and fiercely contested season to its intended conclusion.
