Gino Borsoi, the Pramac Yamaha team boss, has spoken out about a scam using his name to defraud MotoGP fans. Through social media, he warned fans not to fall for fraudsters offering paddock access or race tickets under his name.
Borsoi received reports that some individuals were contacting people, pretending to be him, and asking for money in exchange for tickets, passes, or paddock access. He made it clear that he has nothing to do with such offers and that this is a pure scam.
“This is not me. It's a scam,” wrote Gino Borsoi in his post. He also urged fans to be cautious and not trust anyone using his name to ask for money. “Please, do not trust anyone who contacts you in my name with such requests,” he added.

This warning is not without reason. As one of the key figures in the paddock, Borsoi's name carries weight that scammers can easily exploit to deceive unsuspecting fans. Especially now that he leads the Pramac Racing structure, which recently switched to Yamaha for 2025, people might be more inclined to trust offers that bear his name.
Such scams are nothing new in the racing world, but with social media, they spread faster and wider. The modus operandi is always the same: exploiting the reputation of a well-known figure or team to ask for money in exchange for access that will never materialize.
Borsoi himself has a long history in MotoGP. Before becoming a team manager, he was a Grand Prix racer. After retiring from racing, he moved into management and worked at Aspar before joining Pramac. It was there that he earned recognition for leading Pramac to the 2024 MotoGP world title with Jorge Martin – a historic moment as it was the first title for an independent team in the four-stroke era.
Now, with this situation buzzing, fans are urged to stay vigilant. If someone claims to represent Borsoi or offers exclusive access in exchange for money, it is likely a scam. Always verify information through official team channels or verified social media accounts.
