Emirati racing talent Rashid Al Dhaheri has officially secured his graduation to the FIA Formula 3 Championship for the 2027 season, joining Van Amersfoort Racing to complete the Dutch squad's three-driver line-up alongside previously announced teammates Enzo Deligny and Yevan David.
Following two competitive seasons in Formula 4 across Italy and his home UAE series, the Mercedes-AMG junior stepped up to Formula Regional in 2025. He finished sixth in the Middle East standings with Mumbai Falcons before securing an eighth-place finish in the European championship competing for Prema.
Switching to R-ace GP for his sophomore FRegional campaign in 2026, the young charger started the year strongly by finishing as runner-up in the Middle East Trophy with three race victories. Upon returning to European soil, he claimed fourth in the overall standings, remaining in fierce contention for the drivers' title all the way until the final round of the season.

Reflecting on this major milestone, the 18-year-old expressed his immense pride and determination ahead of the upcoming campaign. "This is an important milestone in my journey, but I know the hard work is only beginning," stated Al Dhaheri, emphasizing his focus on preparing as strongly as possible for the step up to international single-seater racing.
Van Amersfoort Racing team principal Brad Joyce warmly welcomed his new signing, highlighting his impressive run in Formula Regional. "He has shown his pace throughout the year and has been able to fight at the front of a very competitive field," Joyce noted, looking forward to the upcoming post-season testing sessions.
