Subaru Tecnica International, commonly known as STI, is Subaru’s official motorsport and performance division responsible for racing activities, high-performance vehicle development, and factory motorsport technology. STI played a central role in Subaru’s FIA World Rally Championship programs through the development of iconic rally cars such as the Subaru Impreza WRC, while also serving as the technical foundation for Subaru’s performance road-car lineup. Beyond rallying, STI is involved in various international and domestic motorsport categories, functioning as a research and development platform for all-wheel-drive systems, boxer engines, and vehicle durability under extreme conditions.
