Diego Dominguez

Diego Dominguez is a Paraguayan professional rally driver who competes in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Born in Asunción on 17 April 2000, Dominguez became involved in motorsport at a young age and progressed through various junior rally categories. He made significant progress alongside co-driver Rogelio Peñate and emerged as one of Paraguay's leading drivers on the international rally stage. In 2024, Dominguez won the WRC3 championship after a strong and consistent season, becoming the first Paraguayan driver to secure the title. The achievement represented a major milestone in his career and strengthened his reputation as one of South America's emerging talents in the WRC. Before winning the WRC3 title, Dominguez demonstrated his pace with victories in several WRC3 rallies, including Rally Mexico, Safari Rally Kenya and Acropolis Rally in 2023. He also recorded multiple category victories during the 2024 season on his way to the WRC3 championship. In 2025, Dominguez undertook an extensive competition programme, competing in Junior WRC and WRC3 with a Ford Fiesta Rally3 while also contesting WRC2 with a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2. In the 2026 season, he continued his WRC2 campaign with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 for MSI alongside Rogelio Peñate. At the 2026 ueno Rally del Paraguay, Dominguez secured a WRC2 victory in front of his home crowd and finished seventh overall. The result marked his first WRC2 victory on his home rally and demonstrated his ability to maintain a competitive position in difficult rally conditions. With experience across WRC3, WRC2 and junior categories, Dominguez continues to build his career as one of the leading drivers of Paraguay's new generation of international rally competitors.
