PremiAir Racing has made a major mid-season shake-up in the Supercars championship by dropping driver Aaron Fraser following a difficult run of results in his second full-time campaign. Speculation regarding his future had been circulating heavily in the paddock, and sources confirmed that the decision to bench him was communicated during the high-stakes Bathurst 1000 race weekend.
According to Speedcafe, the team elected to cut ties early to address performance issues as they look to finish the 2026 season on a stronger note. Fraser will not see out the remainder of the calendar, making way for a fresh face to step into the garage for the final three rounds of the year.
To fill the vacant seat, PremiAir has secured the services of Jullian Murray, who moves across from the Erebus Motorsport stable. Murray faces an intense challenge to adapt quickly to his new machinery as the championship heads toward its demanding season-closing events.

Meanwhile, Erebus is widely expected to promote enduro co-driver Jarrod Hughes into its #99 Camaro for the remainder of the current campaign and into a full-time drive for next season. This swift internal shuffle highlights the aggressive driver market strategies deployed by teams under pressure to deliver competitive results.
This marks the second consecutive year that PremiAir has chosen to relieve a driver of their duties ahead of schedule. In 2025, Richie Stanaway was dropped prior to the Sandown 500 and replaced by Jayden Ojeda, demonstrating the team's ruthless approach to driver line-up evaluations over recent seasons.
