The Supercars championship is once again offering motorsport fans a truly money-can't-buy experience through the upcoming PPQ Legends Night charity auction. Among the headline items up for grabs is the rare opportunity to wave the chequered flag at the conclusion of Sunday's race during the marquee Gold Coast 500 weekend. Donated directly by the category, this unique package places the successful bidder right at the heart of one of Australia's biggest racing spectacles.
According to Speedcafe, the winning bidder and a guest will receive full weekend tickets to the Gold Coast 500 alongside an exclusive pit lane and garage tour. Following the behind-the-scenes access, they will be personally escorted to the flag marshal's box to take in the closing laps from a privileged vantage point before officially greeting the field at the finish line. The exact flag used to conclude the race will then be signed by the top three podium finishers and presented as a unique keepsake, complemented by an official podium photograph alongside the race winner. Organizers noted that the successful bidder must be physically capable of climbing the stairs to the flag marshal's box.
Supercars executive chairman and interim CEO Barclay Nettlefold emphasized that the package provides an unforgettable perspective of a signature championship event. "This is an experience to watch the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 from a position normally reserved for race officials," said Barclay Nettlefold. He added that standing above the main straight to wave the flag and securing signed memorabilia from the podium stars creates a memory that simply cannot be purchased elsewhere, while expressing pride in supporting Motorsport Ministries.

The prestigious PPQ Legends Night will feature three-time Supercars champion and seven-time Bathurst winner Craig Lowndes as the guest of honour. Event partner Lloyds Auctions has implemented a zero percent buyer's premium to ensure that 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefit Motorsport Ministries, an organization dedicated to providing trackside care, emotional support, and spiritual guidance to competitors, officials, crews, and their families across the Australian motorsport community.
