When the pit lane exit lights turned green for the opening session of the 2026 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship season finale, Paola Ramos immediately laid down a fierce marker at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto. Representing the Klint Racing Team, the talented Spanish rider delivered a masterclass performance on Friday morning, completely outclassing her competitors in ideal weather conditions.
Throughout the morning practice, the local favorite systematically lowered her personal best lap times before ultimately clocking a blistering 1’52.306. This remarkable benchmark highlighted her supreme confidence and supreme mechanical setup as she commanded the timing screens from the very first flying laps until the checkered flag dropped.
The sheer pace of the home nation talents quickly became apparent as the top five positions were entirely occupied by Spanish competitors. Sara Sanchez of the Hadden Racing Team emerged as the closest challenger, though she had to settle for second place after finishing a substantial 1.211 seconds adrift of the flying benchmark set by Ramos.

Further down the timesheets, Beatriz Neila put in a solid effort to secure third position aboard her Yamaha machine, closely followed by compatriot Natalia Rivera in fourth and Yvonne Cerpa rounding out an all-Spanish top five lockout in fifth place.
In contrast, reigning world champion Maria Herrera endured a challenging start to the weekend, forced to settle for seventh position overall behind Australia's Tayla Relph. With the championship drama reaching its climax, the stage is now set for a fiercely contested qualifying showdown at the Andalusian venue.
