Nicolo Bulega has officially secured his 50th WorldSBK victory much quicker than legendary riders like Alvaro Bautista, Jonathan Rea, or Toprak Razgatlioglu managed in their respective careers. The 2026 world champion sealed this remarkable milestone with a dominant performance during Race 1 at the Jerez round, leading every single lap ahead of Sam Lowes.

This stunning achievement is even more extraordinary given that the Italian rider is only contesting his third season in the WorldSBK paddock. During two of those campaigns, Bulega had to go toe-to-toe against Razgatlioglu, who claimed consecutive world titles in 2024 and 2025 with BMW.

Bulega's 50th career win also makes him the first rider in WorldSBK history to reach 30 race victories in a single season. Speaking to WorldSBK.com following the opening race of the weekend, the dominant champion shared his thoughts on hitting the half-century mark.

"It is a good number. Honestly, since the first year that I arrived here everything was fantastic. 50 victories in WorldSBK in three years is amazing," Bulega stated when reflecting on his historic milestone in front of the competitive grid.

The soon-to-be MotoGP rider added that finishing his stint in production-based racing with such stellar results carries significant personal meaning, marking a memorable farewell to the championship before taking on a new challenge next year.

"I’m really happy. It’s my last weekend in WorldSBK, so for me it is important to leave this paddock with good performance. This track I like, but this year it is slower and more dirty than last year," Bulega explained regarding the challenging track conditions.

Despite the slippery surface, he credited his competitive package and the tireless effort put in by his crew for maintaining a flawless pace. He remains focused on closing out his final campaign strongly despite tricky weather forecasts predicted for Sunday's action.

Meanwhile, Ducati's broader dominance throughout the 2026 season continues to capture headlines, with the Italian manufacturer winning every single race contested so far thanks to the combined efforts of the championship leader and his Aruba.it Ducati teammate.
