The championship battle in the superbike paddock witnessed another masterclass performance as Nicolo Bulega powered to a commanding victory in the second WorldSBK race at the Estoril circuit. The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati star controlled proceedings from the very first lap to the checkered flag.
Starting from pole position, the Italian rider made a flawless launch and immediately dictated the pace throughout the 21-lap encounter. He faced virtually no serious threats from the chasing pack, ultimately crossing the finish line with a comfortable 4.888-second advantage over his garage neighbor.
Bulega's triumph secured another sensational 1-2 finish for Ducati alongside teammate Iker Lecuona. Meanwhile, Motocorsa Racing's Alberto Surra delivered an impressive charge to claim the final step of the podium, finishing over sixteen seconds adrift of the race winner.

The 21-lap race was heavily affected by high-profile crashes as several front-runners hit the tarmac early. Alex Lowes went down at turn 4, while Alvaro Bautista crashed out while comfortably running in third place, alongside a premature retirement for Loris Baz.
Dutch competitor Twan Smits faced a tough uphill battle starting from 22nd on the grid. The Motoxracing WorldSBK Team rider dug deep to cross the finish line in 18th position, roughly one minute behind Bulega.
Following this dominant display, Bulega extends his commanding championship lead to 664 points as the series prepares for its grand finale at Jerez. Read our in-depth analysis and check the latest standings right here.
