Nicolo Bulega Confident Ahead of WorldSBK Most 2026

WorldSBK has officially arrived at Autodrom Most in Czechia for Round 5 of the 2026 season, with several riders discussing performance, fitness, weather conditions, and future plans ahead of Friday’s track action.

Championship leader Nicolo Bulega enters the Czech Round with strong confidence alongside Aruba.it Racing Ducati following a consistent run of results across recent events. The Italian rider admitted Most remains one of the circuits where he expects to stay competitive.

“Most is a track that I like more than Balaton Park. It’s still not one of my favourite tracks, but I have good memories from last year, so I hope to be fast here,” Bulega explained.

Bulega also addressed his long-term future after recently completing a MotoGP test at Mugello with Ducati. While MotoGP remains his ultimate career target, the Italian stated he would still be happy continuing in WorldSBK if required.

Meanwhile, Danilo Petrucci has officially been declared fit after suffering back and rib injuries during the Balaton Park weekend. The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team rider confirmed he completed a strong recovery programme ahead of returning to one of his preferred circuits on the calendar.

“I was already feeling fit at home. I had a good week of training. It was a big hit on my back and ribs, but all the checks and therapy were okay,” Petrucci said.

Iker Lecuona also arrives in Most with increasing confidence after showing improved pace over recent rounds. The Spaniard believes mixed weather conditions could work in his favour during the weekend.

“Every time I get on the bike, I get closer to Nicolo. Mixed conditions can help me because I usually gain some advantage in those situations,” Lecuona stated.

Sam Lowes is targeting a return to the podium after recording two fourth-place finishes at Most last season. The ELF Marc VDS Racing Team rider believes the expected cold conditions could favour his riding style.

“The weather looks quite mixed this weekend, so being an Englishman, it could play into our hands,” Lowes said.

At bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, Alex Lowes is aiming for a stronger result after finishing fourth in Race 1 at Most last year. The British rider believes the circuit’s technical sectors suit the strengths of the Bimota package, particularly during rapid direction changes.

Meanwhile, Michael van der Mark returns to WorldSBK action as a replacement for Miguel Oliveira at BMW. The Dutch rider admitted he still approaches race weekends with a full competitive mindset despite continuing development responsibilities.

“When you go out during a race weekend, you always enter race mode. If I see an opportunity for a good result, I will always go for it,” van der Mark explained.

Other riders including Axel Bassani, Yari Montella, and Garrett Gerloff also highlighted the importance of qualifying improvements, setup development, and ongoing contract discussions ahead of the 2027 season.

The Most round is expected to become a critical stage in the 2026 WorldSBK title battle, especially with cold temperatures and potential mixed weather conditions likely to influence tyre strategy and race pace throughout the weekend.
