The Singapore Grand Prix weekend has brought intriguing technical insights for Mercedes after the team opted to run a split setup strategy across their garage. This tactical approach saw George Russell track running with the older aerodynamic package, while his teammate utilized the newly introduced upgrade components.

The narrative shifted dramatically during the crucial qualifying session as engineers successfully pinpointed the underlying issues affecting the updated specification. Gaining a clearer understanding of the car's behavior unlocked a much-needed step forward in performance.
