Max Verstappen secured a superb pole position for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, but firmly believes there is one crucial detail still required to enhance his chances of victory this weekend.
The Dutch driver claimed the 50th pole position of his career on Saturday, edging out Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton after previously taking both pole and victory in the Sprint.
This major achievement marked a significant breakthrough at the Marina Bay Circuit, a venue where he had never previously secured pole position in official qualifying sessions.

While the overall form throughout the weekend looks remarkably positive—having proven to be the fastest driver on Medium tyres during Friday's solitary practice session—a major hurdle remains ahead of race day.
Speaking after qualifying, the reigning world champion pointed directly toward a vital Achilles' heel that the RB22 car still possesses, which could potentially undo all of the team's hard work.
"I think no one really knows about the long runs because we didn’t really get to do any," Verstappen said when asked about his expectations over the full race distance.
"लेकिन But for me, the most important part is more the start. We know that that’s not really been our strong area, so we need to work on that for tomorrow," he emphasized regarding the tricky getaway phase.
According to Motorsport Week, what makes this anomaly particularly bizarre is that Red Bull's satellite squad, Racing Bulls, boasts a significantly better launch phase via their VCARB03 challenger.
Given that the in-house Red Bull powertrain is bolted into both cars, Verstappen made it clear that there is no valid excuse for his machine to lag behind.
"The engines are exactly the same," he stated firmly. "Everything is the same, so there is no excuse."}
