Max Verstappen finally ended his wait to claim his first-ever victory at Formula 1's Singapore Grand Prix following a dominant display under the Marina Bay lights.
The Red Bull star immediately established his authority at the start, aggressively defending the inside line to fend off a serious threat from Charles Leclerc when the lights went out.
Although he comfortably controlled the pace at the front, the four-time world champion encountered unexpected radio issues that severely disrupted direct communication with his pit wall.

To overcome the technical setback during the second half of the race, Verstappen's race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase had to resort to using coded messages to manage the strategy.
Despite the communication hurdles, the Dutch driver remained peerless on track to secure the 73rd grand prix victory of his illustrious Formula 1 career.
Further down the order, Andrea Kimi Antonelli completed the podium places in third to extend his championship advantage at the top of the standings.
Meanwhile, a puzzling strategy call proved costly for Lewis Hamilton on older soft tyres, allowing Oscar Piastri to snatch fifth position away on the final lap.
