Marc Marquez showed his teeth again at the MotorLand Aragon circuit. The new Ducati rider secured his 37th premier-class victory, while also closing the gap in the championship standings. Now, the battle for the 2026 MotoGP world title has truly narrowed to a three-way fight: Marquez, Jorge Martin, and Marco Bezzecchi.

From the start of the weekend, Marc Marquez was the favorite to win at Aragon. The track, with its heavy braking zones, has always suited his riding style. But the execution on race day was flawless. He gave his rivals no room to breathe, and the result was as predicted: the top step of the podium.

The most intriguing part happened behind him. Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia delivered a solid performance, limiting the damage. They finished in safe positions, preventing Marquez from making a huge dent in the points gap. In other words, even though Marquez won, Martin's lead at the top remains intact.

After the Aragon round, the 2026 MotoGP title picture is clearer than ever. Martin still leads, but Marquez is now second, just a few points behind. Bezzecchi, once considered a dark horse, has been consistent and is now a serious contender. The three are separated by a thin margin, and every upcoming race will be decisive.

Marquez's move to Ducati has had an immediate impact. He is not only winning but also lifting the performance of the Italian factory team to a higher level. Meanwhile, Aprilia must think hard about keeping Martin and Bezzecchi consistent for the rest of the season. The fight is still long, and anyone could emerge as champion.
