The high-octane atmosphere at the Goldenes Band der Stadt Olching international sidecar support races was overshadowed by unexpected drama before the action even commenced on the track. Markus Brandhofer and his new passenger, Mika Bacher, arrived at the venue with high hopes of challenging for top honors, only to be dealt a severe blow right at the gates of the paddock due to unforeseen administrative hurdles.

A complication regarding the daily racing license of Mika Bacher prevented the duo from clearing scrutineering and passing the administrative checks required to enter the track. Consequently, the team was forced to watch the entire competition from the sidelines as mere spectators, missing out on a prime opportunity to battle against the elite field on the demanding dirt oval.

With one of the anticipated contenders sidelined, the battle for overall supremacy quickly took shape once the tapes rose and the action got underway. Right from the second round of heats, a single partnership asserted absolute authority over the rest of the grid, dictating the pace and controlling the on-track narrative with precision and relentless speed.

Manuel Meier and Lena Siebert delivered a masterclass performance that left no room for error, securing a commanding victory in dominant fashion. The winning duo triumphed in three out of their five scheduled heats, accumulating an impressive 13 out of a possible 15 points. Because no traditional final heat was contested on this day, the final standings were decided purely by the cumulative point tallies from the preliminary rounds.

Behind the dominant victors, the fight for the remaining podium positions provided plenty of entertainment for the crowd. Imanuel Schramm and Lene Laise clinched second place overall with a total of six points. Meanwhile, a technical heartbreak struck Moritz Straub and David Kersten in their final heat when a ruptured methanol fuel line forced them into a premature retirement, dropping them to fourth place with five points.
