Lewis Hamilton faced a severe physical toll following a punishing 62-lap battle under the extreme heat and humidity of the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The grueling conditions inside the cockpit of the SF-26 pushed the veteran driver to his absolute physical limits during the grand prix.
Due to his deteriorating physical condition, the British driver was completely absent from the mandatory post-race media pen. A Ferrari spokesperson officially confirmed the situation to the media following the conclusion of the race.
A Ferrari spokesperson stated that Hamilton felt unwell after the race and was seen by the FIA medical team. As a direct result of his physical state, the governing body explicitly granted him permission to skip his standard media obligations.

The extreme climate of the street circuit was further compounded by a critical strategic blunder mid-race. After ignoring a late virtual safety car pit call from the pitwall, Hamilton was forced to wrestle his car on heavily degraded tires.
The severe lack of grip left him powerless in the closing stages, causing him to plummet down the order while competitors like Charles Leclerc and other front-runners managed their races differently. Marina Bay continues its legacy as one of the most punishing physical tests on the Formula 1 calendar.
