MotoGP, Sportrik MediaLCR Team has confirmed that Honda’s own lubricant and chemical brand Pro Honda will become the title sponsor of Diogo Moreira for the 2026 MotoGP World Championship, marking a major commercial and structural shift for the team ahead of the Brazilian’s rookie season in the premier class.

As part of the agreement, Moreira will race under the “Pro Honda LCR” banner, while team-mate Johann Zarco will continue to be backed by Castrol, maintaining a dual-branding model within the LCR garage that reflects differing commercial and strategic priorities.

The move brings to an end LCR’s long-running partnership with IDEMITSU, which began in 2018 alongside Takaaki Nakagami and later continued with Somkiat Chantra, and reflects Honda’s decision to realign its brand exposure following changes in LCR’s rider line-up for MotoGP 2026.

The Pro Honda brand has already made limited appearances in MotoGP, debuting with Stefan Bradl at the 2024 Solidarity Grand Prix before featuring on Honda Racing Corporation test entries ridden by Aleix Espargaro and Nakagami during the 2025 season, giving the marque a technical and marketing foundation inside the paddock.

Kotaro Shimizu of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. stated that the partnership is built on “a strong relationship of trust” with Lucio Cecchinello and Honda Racing Corporation, with Pro Honda committed to fully supporting Moreira’s challenge as he steps up to MotoGP in 2026 and beyond.

Cecchinello added that aligning with Pro Honda, Honda’s official oil and chemical products brand, is a key milestone for the team, underlining a shared focus on achieving the optimal balance between competitive performance and technical reliability as LCR integrates a rookie rider into its RC213V programme.

Moreira is scheduled to make his first official MotoGP appearance with the Honda RC213V at the Sepang Shakedown Test from 29–31 January, where Pro Honda LCR will begin evaluating its 2026 package under race-weekend conditions.
