Aragon has always held a special place in the heart of Marc Marquez. The circuit in northeastern Spain once again witnessed how the rider nicknamed The Baby Alien asserted his absolute dominance. As of the 2026 season, Marquez has collected a total of eight wins at MotorLand Aragon, making him the most successful rider in the history of the Aragon Grand Prix.

Marquez's long journey at Aragon began long before he became the king of MotoGP. In 2011, while still competing in the Moto2 class, he already tasted the top step of the podium on the 5.1-kilometer circuit. That first victory laid the foundation for a dominance that would last over a decade.

Once he stepped up to the premier class, Marquez seemed to find a second home. With Repsol Honda, he secured five consecutive wins at Aragon in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. That era was a golden period, where Marquez performed almost flawlessly on the left-hand corners characteristic of the anti-clockwise circuit.

However, fate had its challenges. A severe injury forced Marquez through difficult times, far from victory. But the rider from Cervera proved he was not one to give up easily. In 2024, with Gresini Racing, Marquez returned to the top of the Aragon podium, marking a remarkable comeback. That win seemed to send a message that the king had not yet abdicated.

The 2026 season opened a new chapter in Marquez's love story with Aragon. Now wearing Ducati Lenovo colors, he conquered his favorite circuit once again, completing his win tally to eight. With seven of those in MotoGP, this record seems increasingly difficult to approach, let alone break, by any other rider in the near future. Aragon's characteristics, demanding bravery in left-hand corners, have always been fertile ground for Marquez's distinctive riding style.

Eight wins at the same circuit is not just a number. It is tangible proof of how a rider can build a special relationship with a track. For Marquez, Aragon is more than just a circuit; it is a canvas where he paints his racing masterpieces. And to this day, no one has been able to erase his name from that throne.
